Dress a Girl returns!

What a great month for Dress a Girl sessions to start up again! School's in (not that ours stopped for most of the summer months) and there's new folk queuing up to learn how to make pillowcase dresses...

September sessions started with a bang as members of the local branch of Age UK took up sewing machines today, ably coordinated by their Living Well Officer Susan Stefiuk and expertly taught, as ever, by Space to Sew tutors Liz Gurney and Janet Lees. Thank you ladies for a wonderful afternoon - and for the lovely dresses.

The afternoon was rounded off with a delicious tea provided by Carmar's Tearooms and served on "A Cup of Rosie's" lovely Vintage China. A huge thank you to you both. Our first public Vintage Tea was a great success and very much enjoyed by all!

We re so grateful to you all for joining us and look forward to more Dress a Girl sessions for Age UK members, as well as to the rest of our September Dress a Girl sessions. We are also looking forward to meeting all who are coming to sew dresses later this week - and to seeing their finished creations!

Next stop, shorts for boys, but more about those, as well as other Dress a Girl news, in due course...
